Walmart shareholders have rejected a proposal asking how the retailer measures the impact of advanced technology on staff wellbeing, jobs, pay, training and equity. An associate warned AI tools and planning systems were creating unrealistic store tasks and could affect safety. Walmart said it already disclosed workforce and governance information and used AI and automation to empower associates and improve efficiency.
