Unilever to offload Colman’s ahead of merger
Unilever has put Colman’s mustard up for sale to address potential competition concerns ahead of combining its food business with US spices group McCormick. The planned USD44.8 billion transaction would bring Colman’s together with McCormick-owned French’s mustard. Unilever said it was marketing the 212-year-old brand and assets to potential buyers, while operations would continue as usual during the process. (BBC)
