Primark has opened its 500th store, at La Cartiera shopping centre in Naples, representing a EUR8 million investment. The UK value fashion retailer now operates across 19 countries with around 20 million sq ft of retail space and more than 80,000 employees. CEO Eoin Tonge said Primark sees significant scope for further store growth. Openings in Portugal, Romania and at Mall of America are also planned this week. (Primark)
