Lidl has become Germany’s first grocery retailer to integrate Wero into its online shop, allowing customers to make instant account-to-account payments through participating banking apps. Transactions are authorised within the bank’s encrypted environment, while refunds are returned immediately to the original account. Wero is available to more than 56 million European bank customers, although Lidl shoppers need an account with one of 18 participating banks. (Lidl)
