Intermarché throws more cash at price cuts

French supermarket group Intermarché is investing more than EUR100 million in price reductions for the second time this year, cutting prices on up to 5,000 products by as much as 15%. The initiative, funded centrally rather than by individual outlets, includes reductions on olive oil, pasta and ham. Intermarché is also offering 100,000 fuel gift cards worth EUR20 each through its app to support household purchasing power. (Olivier Dauvers)
