Ex-Casino CEO drags Carrefour into his defence efforts

Former Casino CEO Jean-Charles Naouri is seeking to prove Carrefour CEO Alexandre Bompard planned a takeover of the French retailer in 2018, supporting his appeal against a conviction for corruption and misleading information. His advisers examined 1,500 documents seized from Carrefour, Lazard and Alain Minc, including allegedly deleted emails. Morgan Stanley, then advising Carrefour, bought Casino shares on the day Naouri and Bompard met, according to La Lettre. (Olivier Dauvers)
