Carrefour has ended its second-hand retail partnership with Cash Converters, launched in 2020, citing a decision by the latter’s new owners. Carrefour previously discontinued a similar arrangement with Easy Cash. The closures reflect disappointing growth in supermarket-based resale operations. Rival E.Leclerc has also struggled, with its Leclerc Occasion network remaining at 50 outlets between 2021 and 2025. (Olivier Dauvers)
