Boots sale to Weston said to be imminent
Private equity group Sycamore Partners is said to be nearing a USD9 billion sale of UK pharmacy chain Boots to the Weston family. The deal could be completed within weeks, according to the Wall Street Journal, after Sycamore acquired Walgreens in 2025 for around USD10 billion and subsequently separated the business into five units to facilitate disposals of non-core assets. Sycamore and Boots declined to comment. (Inside Retail)
