Auchan Romania is testing AI-powered Smart Carts at its Bulevardul Timișoara hypermarket in Bucharest. Developed with Romanian technology company New Era Technology, the trolleys automatically identify products using computer vision, display a real-time shopping basket and allow customers to pay directly on the cart.
