Asda has restructured its commercial team after cutting 150 head office roles, with fresh and frozen MD Gavin Chappell leaving the business. The retailer said it had simplified reporting lines and created four category teams covering fresh and frozen, ambient, non-food and clothing brand George, as it seeks to improve execution under executive chairman Allan Leighton.
