Amazon extends dominance in German ecommerce
Amazon accounts for approximately 63% of German online retail, according to a study by retail research institute IFH Köln and General Evidence. The US ecommerce giant remains dominant, with online grocery offering particularly strong growth potential. However, domestic rivals Otto and Zalando face growing competition from Asian platforms Temu and Shein, which are rapidly expanding their reach and capturing a significant share of online spending.
