Amazon adds 3.5% fuel surcharge for US FBA sellers
Amazon is to add a 3.5% fuel and logistics surcharge for 3P sellers using its fulfilment services in the US and Canada from 17 April, as higher energy prices raised industry costs. The group said the levy, linked to sellers’ fulfilment fees rather than item prices, would average an extra USD0.17 per unit for Fulfilment by Amazon shipments, depending on product size and dimensions. Amazon added that the surcharge was lower than those imposed by other major carriers. (CNBC)
