Aldi Nord plans more mixed-used sites in Berlin

German discounter Aldi Nord plans to add seven outlets and more than 400 homes in Berlin by 2030, expanding its current estate of around 140 stores. During 2026 and 2027, the retailer expects to open two additional locations, relocate one outlet and complete 14 extensions or refurbishments. Its mixed-use development programme has already created or begun construction on around 500 homes above stores during the past decade. (Aldi Nord)
