Aldi Nord discloses logistics optimization plan
Aldi Nord will optimise logistics by reassigning around 230 of its more than 2,200 outlets to different regional companies from the end of October. The discounter said the move will reduce transport costs by shortening the average distance between outlets and warehouses, following the renovation and modernisation of almost all warehouse sites. Aldi Nord has reduced its regions from 135 to 20 over the past decade. (Lebensmittel Zeitung)
