Albertsons posts disappointing Q1 numbers as demand softens
Albertsons reported weaker Q1 fiscal 2026 trading, with LFL sales down 0.8%, although digital sales rose 13%. Net income fell to USD85 million and adjusted EBITDA reached USD1.01 billion. CEO Susan Morris said softer grocery demand and cautious consumers prompted the launch of the ACI Edge performance programme to improve execution. The company also lowered its full-year outlook, forecasting LFL sales to decline by 0.5%-1.5%. (Albertsons)
