Ahold Delhaize’s Czech subsidiary Albert has selected US-based Brain Corp to deploy AI-powered shelf-scanning robots after a pilot exceeded its 90% recognition target across product, price-tag and exception detection. Albert said the robots, powered by BrainOS and using cameras, RFID, barcode scanning and 3D lidar, would support store audits by flagging out-of-stocks, pricing errors, promotional issues and incorrect product placement to employees.
