Ahold Delhaize has nominated Margaret Versteden-Van Duijn as CEO of Europe & Indonesia, succeeding Claude Sarrailh. She will become executive vice-president for the region on 1 October 2026, before assuming the CEO role subject to shareholder approval. Versteden-Van Duijn currently leads Dutch banners Albert Heijn, Etos and Gall & Gall and previously headed ecommerce platform bol. Ahold Delhaize has begun succession planning for her existing roles.
