Dutch non-food discounter Action has entered Slovenia, opening its first outlet in Velenje and taking its European presence to 16 countries. A second Slovenian location will open in Maribor on 1 October. The Velenje store employs 19 people and offers around 6,000 products across 14 categories, with more than two-thirds priced below EUR2. Action operates more than 3,500 outlets across Europe and employs around 84,000 people. (Action)
